I always like to visit new places, see new stuff, and photograph it. And the best time, with the right kind of light, occurs during those magic hours near sunrise and sunset.
But being boat-less and living on Florida’s east coast limits my opportunity for those beach, ocean, sunset type photos. The sun is just on the wrong side of the earth.
But there’s a large fresh water lake, Lake Okeechobee, just 30 minutes west of here. It’s about 30 miles long and half that wide. Big enough for some nice sunset images.
It’s a quite drive through the country. But it’s wise to not spend too much time, in one spot, close to the shore. Somebody might be getting ready for dinner. 😉
